Preparing for an in-person walkthrough at the audit desk
Bring the draft pack, the questions you cannot answer cleanly, and one person who knows how the figures were built.
Walkthrough sessions work best when the room holds the draft application, not a polished presentation. We ask clients to leave the cover letter unfinished if the schedules are still moving. The goal is to catch contradictions early, not to rehearse a pitch.
Arrive with three lists: open questions, known weak spots, and people who signed or will sign. If the person who built the cash-flow cannot attend, send a short memo explaining each unusual line. Without that context we spend the first hour reconstructing history instead of clearing fields.
Our Yilan County desk keeps a large table and a spare monitor for side-by-side form review. You do not need slides. You do need readable printouts of annexes longer than ten pages; scrolling a phone screen through a subsidy schedule is how small omissions survive the session.
End the walkthrough with a dated action list: who updates which page, and by when. That list becomes the agenda for the optional revision pass after the formal pre-submission audit.
